Tel Aviv - white town
Tel Aviv was
founded by Jewish community in 1909. It is one of the main cities in the
country located in the western part. Sometimes it is called as Tel Aviv –
Jaffa. Town consist of two parts : a few thousand years of history dating Old
town called Jaffa and new town – Tel Aviv.
It is claimed
that Tel Aviv is Israels luxurious city, financial, commercial and
entertainments capital. As I mentioned before hotel prices are high. For the
budget travelers I would advise to stay in the apartments hotel. As one of them

It is planty of
tourist attraction in Tel Aviv. For exemple : antique oriental Carmel market,
there are 18 visual arts centers. Visites invites many gardens and parks,
restaurants and caffe. Tel Aviv is grateful city for tourist, because you can
buy what you need day and nigth. At the day time you can take a swim in the
sea, or take a walk by the seaside. Byside the beach is walking promenade. It
is reaching Jaffa. Someone saying that Jaffa with nerrow streets looks very
impresive. Because of white style of the buildings cold Bauhaus architecture
town has anothe name – white city. It
was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Neve Tzedek
Neve Tzedek and
Neve Shalom were the first areas where Jews lived. There lived prominent witers
Brenner and Agnon. It is nice to take a walk in the narrow streets and visit
Carmel Market and old port. Neve Tzedek was abandoned and uncared for some
time.Only from 1980 it was reconstructed and become trendy and popular place,
where located many cafes, galleries and designers shops. Rokach House – well known Jewish family,
Suzzanne Dellal Center – it is Tel Aviv Dance Center . Here you can see great
dance, theatre performances, eat delicious pizza and enjoy the garden located
next to the building.
Old Jaffa port
According to
legend Jaffa was built as a port after the great flood by Noah. It is believed
that Jaffa is almost 4,000 years old. The port was served by the ancient
Egyptians and Phoenicians. In 1968 the Israeli authorities decided to establish
a corporation for taking care of further development of the port of Jaffa. Since then Jaffa has become one of the most
popular tourist attraction . Here you can find a lot of artist studios,
galleries, archeology, jewelry, art shops, small narrow streets, which are
named according to Zodiac signs.
Tel Aviv Museum
of Art – museum consists of several departments : Israeli art, modern art,
photography, architecture and design and old masters department. The museum
offers to visit not only changing expositions and exhibitions, but also
activities for adult and children – concerts, classes, lectures,excursions.
Museum of Independence – is the forme home of Meiro Dizengoff, he was
the first mayor of Tel Aviv. In this building it was declared Israels
independence, in 1948. In the museum you can see photos of the event, listen to
the original Declaration of the Independence. On the second floor is located
the home of the Bible. It is separate museum .
Jewish Diaspora museum located in Tel Aviv University campus. It is
uniqe institution, which tells about the life of Jews all over the world.
Hayarkon park –
named for Yarkon river. It is longest
river in Israel. This park 9is very popular, every yaer is visited almost
sixteen million people. It is the place where tourists and locals have rest.
Often the park becomes a lively scene – here showing performences such stars as
Michael Jackson, Elton John, Tina Turner, Madonna, Paul McCartney and many
others.

St.Peters Church is one of the largest building in the old port of
Jaffa. The churchs interior is striking his majesty – reminiscent of many
European cathedrals, the church has high ceilings, stained glass windows and
luxurious marble walls. It is said that Napoleon once has been in the church. St.Peter
Church mass taken in Italian, Spanish, Polish and German.
